Victory in Chile! Community-led Conserva Puchegüín's successful purchase of Fundo Puchegüín is the future of grassroots conservation and a major win for our home planet. Last December, a coalition of conservation groups, scientists, and community members called Conserva Puchegüín purchased a tract of wild land called Fundo Puchegüín. With an assist from Patagonia's Holdfast Collective, their purchase protects outdoor recreation and the people living in Cochamó Valley and the surrounding area forever. What comes next is a new model of grassroots conservation in Chile and a major victory for our planet.
