Single-Use Plastic-Free Festival

Single-Use Plastic-free: Bring your own reusable water bottle and/or cup!

Ocean plastic pollution is one of the greatest environmental threats of the 21st Century; it is the canary in the coal mine for the health of our oceans. It is estimated that 8 to 13 million metric tonnes of plastic waste finds its way into waterways, and flows into the world’s oceans every year. A material that once revolutionised our society, in particular our healthcare industry, now threatens our health. Without healthy oceans, humanity cannot survive.

Alongside our partner nonprofit Azulita Project, The Orpheum Theater, Mountain Sports and all our partners we have created a single-use plastic-free festival for the past three years. Look out for the local initiative #StrawFreeFlag led by Azulita Project, and be part of the solution to stem the flow of plastic into our environment.

At Flag Bike Rev, The Wing Ding, The Pole House, Flagstaff Climbing Center, Mountain Sports, and MOCAF please #BringYourOwn 16 oz. cup. For coffee talks and panels at Rendezvous, The HeArt Box and Bright Side Bookshop bring your cup also.

The Orpheum will be using their own Azulita supplied plastic alternatives only.

All of our other special event venues use glass and ceramic, but you can always #BYO

Azulita Project will be tabling at The Orpheum Theater, but volunteers will be around town all weekend.
