Join us to experience art in many mediums inspired by the contemporary concept of matriarchy and Nahasaan Nihímá, the Earth. This show, which has been a year in concept, is brought to life by the personal explorations and expressions of high desert women artists coming together across the high plateau, from our mountain town of Flagstaff, Arizona to the mesas of Huerfano, New Mexico.

‘Encompassed in painting, sculpture, dance, poetry, beading, fabric, music, the high desert matriarchy constantly parallels the beauty of life. The gathering of such art and artist creators is a perpetuation of the human experience as female beings in the 21st century.’  – Venaya Yazzie, artist
